National Institute of Fashion Technology

(The National Institute of Fashion Technology) (NIFT) is an independent institute that offers courses in fashion, fashion design, technology, and management. New Delhi, India is home to the company’s headquarters.

History

Under the direction of the Indian government’s Ministry of Textiles, NIFT was founded in 1986. By the NIFT Act of the Indian Parliament, he was recognized as a legitimate institution in 2006 and permitted to confer degrees. Together with the Ministry of Textiles, NIFT is working on creating a size chart specific to India. The new disruptive digital camouflage costume adopted by the Indian Army in 2022 was designed in conjunction with NIFT(The National Institute of Fashion Technology).

University Campus

There are now 18 campuses for NIFT all around the nation. The first campus was established in 1986 in Private, New Delhi. Campuses were established in Chennai, Kolkata, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, and Mumbai in 1995, followed by the Bengaluru campus in 1997(The National Institute of Fashion Technology).

The campuses were established in Bhopal in June 2008, Bhubaneshwar in 2010, Jodhpur in 2010, Kangra in 2009, Kannur temporarily in 2008 but permanently in 2012, and Patna in 2008. Rybarelli in 2007, Shilong in 2008, Srinagar in 2016, and Panchkula temporarily in 2019 but permanently in 2022. Daman became the latest version of the NIFT network created in 2022(The National Institute of Fashion Technology).
