Natalie Portman as the Black Swan is poised to be a well-known Halloween costume this weekend, specially among fashionistas. The costume is dim and edgy and slutty with no being clearly slutty. It is best!

But Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy, who designed Portman’s ballet costumes for the hit film will not be going as Black Swan. Not that we could ever before image the Mulleavys, who dress extremely just, in black sequined tutus, but nonetheless, now we know for certain. PHEW. WWD caught up with the sisters at FGI’s Night of Stars (they ended up honored as “luminaries”) and asked if they were dressing up for Halloween. “I don’t know as what however, which is type of the conundrum,” Laura explained. “Someone asked me the other day, ‘Are you dressing up as Black Swan?’ And I was like, “No, but I know how you can get a single simply because they offer [the costumes] now.” Kate explained she doesn’t have a costume yet. So, now you know.

Here are our recommendations for the Rodarte ladies:

My sister and me as The Shining twins. Red Rum.

- The twin women from The Shining. I did this previous year with my sister in New Orleans and it was very properly received. Additionally the Mulleavys enjoy horror movies and are sisters so it is perfect.
- The Olsen twins. C’mon that would be hilarious.
- Pregnant Beyonce and Solange. It is all about the proper wigs.
- Anna Wintour and Nicki Minaj at Carolina Herrera
